New Book about Three Mills
« on: 06 July, 2008, 05:47:47 PM »
I have just got a copy of a brand new book called 'Remembering Three Mills' edited by Brian Strong. It has 40 pages and is soft backed A4 size and costs £5. It is available from the Lower Lea Tidal Mill Trust who are based in the House Mill at Three Mills.

It tells the story of the mills and personal histories and memories of people who lived in the area. It has lots of photo's, mainly from private family collections.

It's well worth the money and is a very interesting read.

Hi Kathy,

If you want a good read about the East End, Stan Dyson is bringing out a book this month called "Silvertown Life - A boy's story".  I have read it, it is so funny, and also brings back lovely memories of another era.

Regards,
Susan Cole
