Difficulty in posting photographs
« on: 01 April, 2016, 10:20:19 PM »
Over the past few days I have tried to post a photograph that complies with the forum size requirements but receive a message stating "Upload File is full, Please try a smaller size of contact an Admistator" Has anyone else come up against this problem?

I've just tried and the result is the same, and, I reduced my picture to not much bigger than the size of a postage stamp!!

I have tried this with a picture that is only 33kb with the same result. The words "upload folder" suggests to me this is the folder on the mainframe computer which is now full. Some systems only allow folder to contain a given number of items irrespective of size.

I will try contacting the Administrator but given recent problems, there is no saying how long that will take for someone to read the message.

Thanks Mick and John for your comments. Pleased to know that the problem wasn't down to me. Hope that the Administration team can be persuaded to resolve the problem.

Hi Doug
I've had the same problem as I've tried to print several photos recently.

I did manage to speak to Jenni the Archivist last week. Apparently they are severely understaffed and she is ploughing through the emails. I will try again on Tuesday when they are open and if I can't get hold Jenni I'll leave a message

I have sent a message to the administrator advising them of the problem. It does appear to be a system problem as opposed to picture size or inexperienced users.

Have spoken to Jenni and she's aware of the problem and is making arrangements for it to be rectified.

This is getting ridiculous. It is 4 weeks  since the question of difficulty in posting photographs was raised and the problem has still not been resolved by the admin team. I have tried again this morning to post a photo of the approved size and received a message that the file is full. Perhaps if I posted under "Ways to lose Weight" then it might work!
Regards from a far from happy Doug

Hi Doug

I have just spoken to Jenni at the Archives and she said they are still experiencing problems with putting photographs on the forum.

She said if you email the post and photograph to her she will put it on the forum for you.

Hi

You should be able to upload attachments now, the server had reached its limit. Apologies
