Hi All, I came across this photo of some Nissen huts that may be of some interest.

Hi All, sorry I should have said that these Nissen huts (Prefabs)were in Bridge Rd.

Hello KenM,

Yes, I remember those Nissen huts. I lived at the other end of Bridge Road (22) In the 50s-60s. There's some more photos of them in a book I have by the ex-Sun photographer (forget his name).

By the way, there were prefabs as well in the next block along.

The view shows West Ham Stadium, Jersey Road, Mortlake Road and Varley Road. War damage can still be detected from the bombsite gaps in the housing. Tollgate Road and the prefabs in the distance can also be seen.
