My grandparents stayed in Stratford (West Ham) during WW1 from 1914 till 1919, as Belgian refugees.
Address: Romford Road 63.
My late mother Raymonde Geeraerts was born in 1915; my grandfather served from 1916 till 1919 in France.
When they returned to Belgium they remained in touch with some of their friends.
After my mothers dead I found among her papers a few old photos from the twenties: they are added to this post.
On the back the names of the children: little Leana, Norman, Roland and Margrate.
The handwriting is the same.
These photos were sent after the war with the letters they used to write.

Does someone recognise any of these children or make association with these first names?

As additional clue: the names Webster and finch were mentioned, but not necessarily in this context.
Any suggestion is welcome. Many thanks in advance.

And finally the back of Leana's photo.
Thanks for being patient and sorry for making a bit of a mess of it.
Regards.

No 63 Romford  rd was then and is a 4 storey row of terrace houses with long front gardens on the Romford rd near Water lane.
Both your photos of  Norman and Leana were taken somewhere other than that location. They look more like the semi detached houses further out towards Romford  in Essex. I cant recall any areas of Stratford with semi's like that(too posh)but no doubt someone will come up with a location .
