Enquiring about Will B
« on: 01 November, 2014, 06:23:28 PM »
Been thinking about the posts, haven't heard from our old mate Will for ages, hope he is o.k .I remember him from the old site and with our Shipping connections , used to have some interesting posts on the subject.
With the demise of the Royal Docks there are fewer and fewer of us left to talk about the subject, so I hope he's well .

 All the best Ed

Linda,I have heard from Louise's  daughter.
Not really good news ,but she is going to hospital Monday to have fluid drained from her  eye.
It is called, central retinal vein occlusion she has,and she cannot see enough to use the computer.
Her daughter said ,Louise sends  her love to all and her daughter is going to keep in touch with me
Best wishes to you,nan .

I think most of the old posters now post on the Various Facebook pages dedicated the Newham History, there are new items on such as the Newham History Society and the Silvertown & N.Woolwich pages most days.

I think you are probably right Robert. I joined the Newham History Society and Memories of East Ham on Facebook when the Forum closed down.
Gradually though the original members are gradually coming back so hopefully the Forum will pick up and more people will join.
